My Imagination or my Artificial Intelligence

For creators and artists, my Imagination or my Artificial Intelligence is like “To be or not to be”.

Imagination is the “creation of thoughts”, the “intense feelings”, and the “vibration of the mind”. Imagination is a “beautiful” thing that man has been bestowed by Mother Nature. It helped us to create many great things and to solve many hidden treasures of knowledge that were once considered problems or evil.

By using our imagination, one can develop theories and great ideas based on the functioning of the mind’s imagination. One way of enhancing your imagination is storytelling and, most importantly, “listening”.

Listening is a very powerful tool.

Most people are mostly speakers, but very few are listeners, and you can unlock many mysteries and knowledge by simply “listening”.

Here I would like to mention one of my great teachers, Sandy Lloyds, who first introduced me to this concept of “listening” and how important it is. I cannot thank him enough.

We humans are actually very good at imagining when we are kids and use it in all our playtime. We would imagine how we are some “character” or “something else” and play that role in our pretend play.

The only problem is that we tend to lose this superpower of imagination by the time we are so-called adults and become boring (as some kids call the adults).

Plato describes it beautifully that “Daydreaming can be considered as the imagination about the future as a work of art within the soul”.

Ficino defines imagination as “that imagination could be the vehicle through which divine intervention transmits insights in the form of images”.

Albert Einstein said,  “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world”. He was truly a genius.

Nikola Tesla said it in a very powerful way “When I get an idea, I start at once building it up in my imagination…… in this way, I am able to rapidly develop and perfect conception without touching anything”.

And I would say that one can give a second birth to oneself by practising imagination. And that is “the power of imagination”.

My Artificial Intelligence

Now, Artificial intelligence or artificial imagination may evolve to create an “artificial world”.

This is comfortable enough for humans to use as an escape from reality.

Artificial intelligence also raises questions regarding the “responsibility” for “machine’s mistakes” or “decisions” For that, we need some serious regulations in place.

And are these machines or AI, being trained on strict moral behaviour or just human behaviour? which has both sides, peace and destruction.

Artificial intelligence has pros and cons, to name a few, it may improve decision-making or enhance efficiency, but it will also cause loss of jobs or job displacement, and it’s definitely causing privacy issues.

There are obviously bad characters out there who “will” misuse it and weaponise the AI.

Would these Humanoid robots or artificial intelligence have a conscience? And are we going to see some trans-humans in the future?

Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX and Tesla, and many other companies said in October 2024, “There will be more Humanoid robots in the future than humans by 2040”.

That is a big statement to make and very alarming for many to consider or think that there would be more robots on this earth than humans. And if these Humanoid robots are self-conscious too, then are they going to serve us, or are we going to serve them? This is the question only time will tell.

On January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump revoked an executive order by the previous President, Joe Biden, that sought to mitigate the risk of Artificial Intelligence. And the very next day, Trump announced that OpenAI, Oracle and Softbank would join hands to create “Stargate”, an AI project that he called the “largest AI infrastructure project in history”.

It takes a lot of power and electricity to run these mega projects and data centres, which these mega companies are building all around the world. This means the demand and price of electricity will go up. Are these companies using clean and sustainable power sources? And how will this impact the global environment? raise many questions.

Artificial intelligence is the baby still in the womb, we will all have to wait and see what kind of character it will become.

The way these companies are pouring billions and billions of US dollars into AI projects, soon this General Artificial Intelligence will develop into a Superintelligence.

Maybe at some point in the future, I will compare this article, when written by Superintelligence, when the genie will be out of the box.

Until then……
