Donald Trump The Presidential Negotiator

Donald Trump The Presidential Negotiator, has served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021.

He won the 2016 Presidential election as a Republican Party nominee against Hillary Clinton, wife of former US President, Bill Clinton, from a Democratic Party.

Throughout his tenure of four years he was continuously in the headlines around the world. I must give him the credit for that.

Donald Trump did not even had a chance to have a honeymoon period in the Oval Office. From the beginning he was in the midst of controversies, call it a travel ban from Muslim majority countries, trade war with China, Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement, Iran nuclear deal, building a wall on the US-Mexico border and of course the mother of all, Russian interference in US election 2016.

Donald Trump is the only US president who has been impeached twice.

Donald Trump has done many things which we can criticize and do not agree with. That is settled. I will leave those for some other time.

But how about the things he wanted to do but could not do, for example, he wanted to negotiate with Russia, he wanted to negotiate with Iran, he wanted to negotiate on Afghanistan, and most of all, he wanted to negotiate with North Korea.

Donald Trump was the only US President in history who was willing to talk and willing to negotiate even with his adversaries.

So why Donald Trump could not negotiate on these issues?

You see, there are other forces at play too. Who does not want these issues to be settled. There is a whole industry of war which earns their bread and butter and buys private islands by selling weapons and war equipment, sometimes on both sides.

Donald Trump has been very vocal about Warmongers during his time in office, who are these Warmongers? And as we all know, he was not the favourite of some US Generals and the powerful elite of America.

Russia

Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met at the Helsinki Summit in 2018, and at the G20 Osaka Summit in June 2019, and on three more occasions.

It seemed that Donald Trump wanted to have a stable relationship with Russia but for the powerful elite or as Trump repeatedly said “deep state” actors were not happy and it was not acceptable to them, so there was nothing substantially achieved that he wanted to do and said “they” were sabotaging him and undermining his power.

Iran

Donald Trump wanted to negotiate with Iran too. He recently said while doing his campaign for the second term for president. He wants to see Iran “successful”  but I do not want them to have nuclear weapons.

Afghanistan

In February 2020 Trump administration signed a peace agreement with the Taliban according to this deal foreign trips would be withdrawn from Afghanistan in 14 months and demanded a guarantee from the Taliban that Afghanistan’s soil would not be used by terrorists against the United States or its allies.

The United States invaded Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks on US soil. American forces remained in Afghanistan for 20 years, from 2001 to 2021, and one might not be wrong in saying that they achieved nothing but lost trillions of dollars of US taxpayer’s money.

North Korea

Now let’s talk about North Korea. Donald Trump was the first sitting President who met North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, 3 times. First In Singapore in 2018, then in Hanoi in 2019, and then in the Korean Demilitarized Zone in 2019.

This was a big news around the world and many were excited that a peace deal would come out of this, while some were extremely worried in the United States, who did not want this to turn into a Peace deal.

And then as we all know “They” won.

Ukraine

The Russian and Ukrainian war started in February 2022. It drew a lot of attention around the world and people who were not even directly involved in this war paid a very heavy price, especially in Europe, inflation hit an all-time high and the cost of gas, electricity and food and other costs of living, skyrocketed.

Donald Trump has been very critical of this war and wants to end this war.

He recently said, while doing his presidential campaign for the second term that “he can finish this war in 24 hours. Putin has weaknesses and Zelensky has weaknesses and he can finish the war in 24 hours “

Whether he can finish this war or not, time will tell but one thing is sure that he is a Presidential Negotiator.

Court cases

Donald Trump is the first US president or former president who has been convicted of a crime and for the first time in the US  history, a candidate is running for presidency after a felony conviction.

In March 2023, a grand jury in New York indicted Donald Trump on 34th felony counts of falsifying business records.

I mean, seriously! Donald Trump has been doing business since his youth and his father was a successful businessman and it took the US government decades to understand that he was falsifying his business records.

Or is it because he is running for the presidency for a second term? and they do not want him to win. Bear in mind that everything got stepped up when he announced that he was running for the second term.

Now the sentencing for these 34 felony counts is set for November 24, 2024. We will all have to wait and see if Donald Trump is going to jail or The White House.

Assasination 1.0 and 2.0

On July 13, 2024, Donald Trump survived the first assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania in which he was shot and wounded in his upper right ear by a 20-year-old man, Thomas Matthew Crooks.

His face was covered with blood from his ear. Donald Trump stood up and showed his fist and said “Fight” while surrounded by his Secret Service team.

My first reaction or instinct was, while watching him like that, Donald Trump may be so many things, but He is BRAVE for sure. Trump did not surrender to this assassination attempt and showed his resilience there and then, that was truly something to watch, especially when he did not know if some other shooter was waiting for him to get up again.

On September 15, 2024, Donald Trump survived a second alleged assassination attempt while playing golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach Florida. A 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh was spotted hiding in nearby Shrubbery with a rifle. The official said Ruth intended to shoot Trump.

After all, Donald Trump, the Presidential Negotiator turns out to be the Presidential Negotiator of assassinations too.

I will finish the article by quoting Donald Trump.

“They are not after me, they are after you… I am just standing in the way!”
